This is the third time I am posting this question. Please follow my instructions since previous answers where vague or wrong. I am really having a hard time.
I've consistently gotten this wrong on Mastering Physics. I tried getting help online but it seems everyone else is getting this wrong too. Please do not cut and paste some old internet answer because I guarentee it will be wrong. Please use my numbers and show each step. I know the answer is I = 1.15x10-5 W/m2 because I ran out of trys. What I need to an explanation.
Parallel rays of monochromatic light with wavelength 594nm illuminate two identical slits and produce an interference pattern on a screen that is 75.0cm from the slits. The centers of the slits are 0.640 mm apart and the width of each slit is 0.434 mm
If the intensity at the center of the central maximum is 4.10x10-4W/m2 , what is the intensity at a point on the screen that is 0.840mm from the center of the central maximum?
