An insect with many legs is scuttling across the floor. Assume that each leg pushes with the same force at exaclty the same spot. This force is applied to the "feet" by the ground at an angle of 10 degrees from the horizontal, pointing slighty upward and toward the direction of motion. the insect is in equilibrium in the vertical direction, but accelerates forward. What is the insects acceleration in terms of gravity(g)?
