Two cars are on the highway and moving at speeds of v1 = 14.5m/s and v2 = 70.2m/s. The second car is behind the first car and traveling in the same direction.

(a) If the first car sounds a horn at a frequency of 894Hz while the second car is closing the gap between the two of them, then what frequency do people in the second car hear?

(b) Just after the second car passes the first car, the people in the first car hear the second car's engine with a frequency of 268Hz. What is the frequency of the second car's engine? (Take the speed of sound to be 340m/s for both parts)
