A boat's mast is held by two cables, one attached to the front of the ship and the other to the back. Both are connected to the top of the 10m mast. One makes a 40 degree angle with the mast and the other a 30 degree angle with the mast. The tension in the cable attached at 30 degrees is 400N. What is the tension in the other cable? What is the force acting upwards on the mast exerted by the boat at the bottom of the mast? Ignore torque and balance for this problem.
