You notice a couple of trades people that are not part of your crew or organization working on an elevated work platform (at the 3rd story) that have no safety gear on or with the matall. You are the supervisor foryourteam, soyou go and talk to theguys onthe EWP andrequestthat theycome downand get their safety gearon. The two work men have been in the industry for 25 years and said they are "old hands" and know what they are doing, so you are to get lost. Answer the following questions:

Part B
It is insufficient to simply give a worker the procedure or a practice and expect them to understand and perform it. Training, instruction, and information must be provided in a form that can be understood by all workers. Information and instruction may also need to be provided to others who enter the workplace, such as customers or visitors.
Prepare a professional report, clearly stating:
• The personnel that can be consulted for developing effective communication strategies
• Strategies for communicating in accordance with statutory requirements
• Provide an example of a written notice about any recent changes in your workplace which can be accessed by all the stakeholders. For example, an e-mail, site notice, site signage, SMS etc. The notice should be clear, simple and should consider cultural and language differences.
Assessment Task 5: Worksite Inspection
You should conduct a site inspection of a building site using the OHS site inspection checklist of your workplace or the template provided by your trainer. While completing the checklist, you must make sure you cover all the following:
- Identifying any or all high-risk work that is currently being conducted on site;
- Identifying all the hazards and potential risk areas in accordance with legislative requirements for OHS and company policies;
- Applying relevant national and state OHS requirements, codes relating to the workplace;
- Consulting relevant parties for expert advice, including proposed actions to rectify any faults; and
- Provide an overall summary, highlighting key areas identified during the inspection for improvements along with the suggestions on how to implement them.
