Lam is a fearful flyer. However, a family member was unwell and Lam was determined to visit them. After booking a ticket, Lam arrived at the airport. During the line-up to receive a ticket, Lam experienced increasing levels of anxiety. When it was almost his turn, Lam began to feel light-headed and experienced his heart pounding. Instead of going to the next free counter, Lam cut through the crowd and ordered a taxi home. Once Lam had walked out the airport a flood of relief occurred as all the sensations of anxiety eased.
