A 54-year old male was seen in an Alabama clinic with diarrhea. He appeared lethargic and reported that he had been feeling very tired for the last week. He has not traveled outside of the U.S. He has not eaten undercooked meat or raw seafood. He recently visited some relatives in rural Alabama who have a makeshift septic system. While there he played outside with his nephews. Because it was hot and they didn't have a pool they set up a sprinkler in a sandy area of the backyard. Then they ran through the water from the sprinkler bare-footed and dressed in swimsuits. Blood work showed iron-deficiency anemia and a greater than normal number of eosinophils. Stool sample analysis revealed the eggs of a parasite.

What is the common name of this parasitic infection? What is the genus name of a likely causative organism? Explain how you determined your answer.
