Two children are playing a game. The rst throws a basketball straight up, and the second tries to hit it with a thrown baseball. They eventually succeed. Assume the basketball is at the origin, not moving (v = w = 0), and has a mass of 625 gm and a radius of 120 mm. The baseball has a mass of 145 gm and a radius of 37 mm, and hits the basketball at the point (-6.80, -5.80, -8.00) cm with an initial velocity of (45.0, 9.5, 17.3) cm/s. After bouncing off the basketball, the baseball has velocity (28.4, -7.3, -4.7) cm/s.

1. What is the velocity of the basketball just after the collision (as a vector)? Remember that momentum is conserved, so the change in the momentum of the baseball will be equal and opposite to the change in momentum of the basketball.
