What is the proper or customary behavior in your work environment? This will often be a topic within the organization you work for and is tied to the company culture. Social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter are pervasive and commonplace outside of the office, but how might your profiles on these sites be viewed by a potential employer? In this assignment, consider the following questions: Should a company view information on these sites when determining whether to hire an individual? When posting information to a personal account (pictures, statements, etc.) during non-work hours, does an employee still need to consider company policies? If so, why? Should companies allow employees to surf social networking sites during work hours? Copy each question into the Word document and make sure you provide thorough answers for each.
