The word "land" is used 1,611 times in the Bible (English Standard Version). The two verses below emphasize God's opinion of the value of land:

Genesis 10:1 informs us that the land was part of the Creation and it was good: "God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good."

Genesis 13:14-16 uses land as a mark of how much God gives to his people. Notice the comparison of land and offspring: "The Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, 'Lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward, for all the land that you see I will give to you and to your offspring forever. I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if one can count the dust of the earth, your offspring also can be counted.'"
