Question: Ag is often used for Fabry-Perot mirror coating material. Calculate the reflectivity, R (not r ), of the two mirrors that are needed to filter two wavelengths that are 1nm apart, 50 GHz apart, 1GHz apart. Assume the lines have very narrow linewidths, ~1 MHz, and the average wavelength is ~630nm. This is a good practical problem. Please state the finesse in each case as well.
