Toward A Multilevel sociology of fraud: This assignment invites you to search the social science research journals on any topic related to sociology, about which you have a great interest. Select one journal article in which researchers report their original findings on your topic. Discuss the effectiveness of the author's argument with regard to better understanding your topic.

Introduction: Why did you choose this article? What is the main topic of the paper? What research question are the authors attempting to answer?
Method: What method of investigation did the authors use? (Survey? Observation? Interviews? Ethnography? Experiment?) Describe how they gathered their data, and identify anything that makes sense to you (population, sample size, recruitment procedures, measures, etc.). How did the authors go about answering their question?
Findings: What are their most important findings? Many articles may have a number of findings. Choose one or two that are the most interesting to you. Was their hypothesis supported? (Note: Their findings should relate back to the initial description of the study.) How did their results answer the research question?
Discussion and Critique: How does the study help us understand the topic (or not)? How is the study useful (or not?) What knowledge does it contribute to what we know about our social world? What are the strengths and limitations of the study? Did the authors leave something important out? Is there a reason we should or should not give this study much attention? Mention what the authors identify as their limitations and whether or not you agree. Is there a better way in which the study could be carried out in order to more accurately answer the question?
Conclusion: Overall, what have you learned about the topic after reviewing the article? Did you find the research interesting? What did you learn from it? What more would you like to know?
