A new goal I have for the remainder of this semester is to more intentionally integrate psychotherapy techniques into medication visits. I also want to strengthen my work with pediatric and adolescent patients. Developing competency with younger populations is especially important, as early identification and treatment can significantly impact long-term mental health outcomes (Hafstad & Augusti, 2021). To reach these goals before completing my clinical hours, I plan to request more pediatric cases, seek targeted feedback from my preceptor, and review current treatment guidelines regularly. What is going well in my clinical experience is patient rapport-building and medication education.
