Background
For this assignment, you will be observing a child by video, creating an activity to support the learning you observe and writing a learning story to document and share the child's experience and how your activity will support the child's development.
Directions
First, select an age group and watch one (1) of the following videos located here.
1. Video 1 - Infants: Talking with Drums (2 minutes, 16 seconds)
2. Video 2 - Toddlers: Party of Chairs: Making Meaning of Others' Actions (10 minutes, 16 seconds)
3. Video 3 - Preschool: Cheers for Chaislyn (2 minutes, 15 seconds)
Second, watch the video a second time and choose only one child to observe.
1. Write down observations about what the child says and does.
2. Observations should contain facts (what you see and hear), giving a complete view of what is happening in the video with your chosen child.
Third, create an activity to support your observed child.
1. Determine an activity that will help support your chosen child. Get the instant assignment help.

3. Your activity should include:
a. Activity title
b. Activity goal(s)
c. Materials needed for the activity

Finally, write a learning story to show your observations of the child and how you came up with the activity to support the child. You can find examples of a learning story in the Additional Resources section below. Include the following:
1. Share what you observed the child do in the video and what he might be experiencing or learning.
2. Use details, facts, and observation notes focusing only on the one child.
