In flies, a new mutant male is found with short stubbly bristles instead of normal long bristles. The mutant is mated to a normal female. Their offspring are 25% females with stubbly bristles, 25% females with normal bristles, 25% males with stubbly bristles, and 25% males with normal bristles. Two of these offspring, a stubbly male and a stubbly female are then crossed and the others are discarded. The two that are crossed produce 49 stubbly males, 51 stubbly females, 26 normal males, and 24 normal females. A stubbly male and a stubbly female are chosen from these offspring and mated. What fraction of the progeny will be stubbly males?
