Case Study: David Conover, Director of the Marine Sciences Research Center at Stony Brook University, has been experimenting with the selective pressure that fishing puts on the Atlantic Silverside.

In a population of fish where the largest individuals were removed every generation, he observed that after 6 generations the fish were only 55% of the size of the control group.
