Step 2: Then visit the Spark Recipes website (https://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-calculator.asp) to calculate the nutrition information of the recipe. You will need to first register with the website.

Step 3: After you have registered with the website, use the Recipe Calculator to search for each ingredient.

Step 4: Enter the total number of servings that your recipe makes and click the "Calculate Info" button.

Step 5: Review the nutrition information, taking into consideration how many servings your recipe made.

Step 6: Choose healthier substitutes to lower calories, fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium as best you can. Visit American Heart Association website (https://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/GettingHealthy/NutritionCenter/SimpleCookingwithHeart/Simple-Cooking-with-Heart-Home-Page_UCM_430043_SubHomePage.jsp) for tips on healthy cooking and healthy substitutions.

Step 7: Be sure to submit your modified healthier recipe along with the original recipe.
