My patient is a 14-year-old boy from Texas. He is out helping his father on the farm milking cows. There are two tables set up for the milk, one table is for pasteurized milk and the other is unpasteurized. As the dad is milking the cows the son is to put the milk on the unpasteurized table. The son gets distracted, while talking to his father and placed one of the unpasteurized milk on the pasteurized table. The next day the son fixed himself a bowl of cereal. Later that afternoon he started getting fluctuating fevers, chills, headaches, and sweating. Mom and Dad immediately took him to the doctor. The doctor asks what has he eaten so far today. So far he has only eaten a bowl of cereal. What disease is my patient suffering from?
