It is expected that you will have raised your child through the MVC online platform to be 18 years, 1 mo (i.e., the end of the MVC program) prior to completing these reflections & you will use information from this simulation as well as the course (e.g., readings, lectures, discussions) in your responses. Based on your child's cognitive abilities, psychological adjustment, and plans for the next two years, think about what your child might be like two years after the program ends, at age 20.
What careers might your child be interested in and why? How do you think your child will have adjusted to issues of increasing independence and self-reliance in this age range?
How do you think your child's friendships and romantic relationships might be going? How do you anticipate being included in your child's life?
How has your child adjusted to typical adolescent, emerging adulthood issues such as risk-taking, drugs, alcohol, and sexual interests, and how have you responded to your teen?
