A 52 year-old white male is admitted to the emergency room complaining of pain in the left side of his chest, neck, and under his arm. He's given nitroglycerin, a potent vasodilator. Blood is drawn to evaluate "cardiac enzymes". Twelve leads are placed on his chest to generate an ECG. Based on this information, answer the following questions:

1. What cardiac disorder could this man be experiencing?

2. What is the term of pain in the chest?

3. When nitroglycerin dilates the coronary arteries, what happens to the pain if there is no coronary infarct?

4. Where are the cardiac enzymes (troponin, myoglobin, and creatine phophatase) normally found?

5. If these cardiac enzymes are found in significant levels in the blood what does this finding indicate?

6. If the individual did suffer a heart attack, how will the ECG be different from normal?
