Questions: Please answer the question with minimum of two hundred words:
In this current world within which we live, we are inevitably all political beings from birth until death. That is to say, whether we like it or not, we find ourselves within certain political borders, we are governed by a host of political rules and laws and various authority figures, and we are all influenced in one way or another by the political events that occur throughout our lives [9/11 being a good example of this]
As described, how we behave with others in a social/political setting is somewhat determined by the natural inclination of human beings. Some people think humans are naturally evil, while others think humans are naturally good. (Some also think that humans are both naturally evil and good.) {Now as an interesting side note, we saw in the section on Existentialism others think that humans are not natural anyway but are shaped differently based on their upbringing and environment}. To begin, thus please explain what your position is on the natural disposition of human beings.
Now as political beings who are inevitably tied to the various political components of this world and based upon your above answer, you gave for what you think the natural disposition of human beings is, what then do you think are some of the political responsibilities that we human beings have with another? That is to say; we have certain duties when we engage with other people in different venues, i.e. duties in which our natural disposition influences many claims; in which some of these political duties can be construed as ethical, while others may not. Please thus expand upon these social duties we have with other fellow humans. In addition, what political duties do we expect from the political authorities that govern us?
Finally, what is your current view: Are we and/or the government shirking/avoiding the political duties we have with each other?-and if so, what can be done to remedy this problem?
