What single idea stood out for you among all those presented in this chapter or through informal learning? What other points in this chapter struck you as important? Although it may sound like common knowledge, what stood out to me the most in chapter three is the differences in empathetic listening. As we know, empathetic listening is crucial when working with clients in order to help them and be able to provide accurate care. However, something I did not think about before was using the 3 V's + B when using active listening with a client. Sometimes saying nothing is more than saying anything at all. Listening and silence are the true key takeaways from this chapter. I also think it is crucial to include the message of going at their own pace for the client while they answer your questions.
