This model started with a business man by the name of Henry Kaiser and Dr. Sidney Garfield. Their driver was to provide a way for workers to get the care they needed. This model is still very alive today and relatively unchanged. It would be difficult to afford health care without insurance. To all, what are your thoughts about the HMO model?
