Discuss democratic governments. There are institutions, values, forms of government, electoral processesthat define democratic governments. 3. Systems of Democratic Government: Presidential or Parliamentary
Is your government a Parliamentary or Presidential government? Why?
4. Electoral System
Winner Take all (aka First Past the Post) or Proportional Representation: Is your democracy structured such that multiple parties can participate in governance (proportional representation) or is it structured such that 2 parties dominate and govern (single member districts)?
5. Type of Democracy
Decide on the type of democracy.Who makes the laws? Is your government a direct democracy or representative democracy? Why?
5b. If your government is a representative democracy then, indicate the ideal type of representative. Who is best suited for decision making in your government? Why?What type of people do you prefer to govern your country? What type of people or person/s do you believe would best represent the common good?

6. Political Status of Native Minority Group
Your country is being created with an existing minority group. You have taken resources from this group that you deem are necessary for your country to function. These people are peaceful and would like sovereignty. They want to be recognized as a separate nation within your country. Do you recognize the area in which they reside as a separate nation? Do you deny them sovereignty and offer them a place in your society? If you offer them a place in your society, do you offer them citizenship, although they do not have a desire to assimilate? How do you handle this request?

Citizenship is defined as membership in a political community. Citizenship can be conveyed to a person automatically based on their: (1) birthplace, (2) parent's birthplace, (3) through marriage, (5) or a function of race, age, religion, ethnicity, or property ownership, and (6) values. Citizenship can be conveyed based on any criteria you choose. What are the requirements for citizenship? Why

8. Rights of Non-Citizens
Determine the rights of noncitizens above basic human rights. Assume your democracy honors basic human rights. Those rights includedue process, freedom of speech, and freedom of religion. What other rights would be accorded people who reside in your country?
9. Economic System
Decide your governments' role in the economy. How much power should the government have over the economy?
