Purpose of the Assessment - The purpose of this assessment is to assess the student in the following learning outcomes:

• Create air itineraries and calculate international promotional airfares.

Question 1 - SITTTSL012( 1.1, 1.2, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 3.1) SITTTSL013( 1.1, 1.2, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 3.1) Calculate the cheapest Alliance fare and a Consolidated Nett Fares. You are then required to outline what recommendations, based on the quoted price to the client in regards to travel.

A. Itinerary

Your customers Mr & Mrs Smith and Mr & Mrs Jones (4 passengers) are travelling together in the following itinerary departing 17thNovember 201X they would like to stay in each destination for 6 days.

Which fare would you recommend to the travellers for this itinerary and why?

B. Itinerary

Your customers Mr Patel, Mr Harry and Mr Conroy (3 passengers) are travelling to Lima, Peru for a business meeting and will stay for 4 nights, then return via Auckland, New Zealand, staying 4 nights departing 6 June 201X.

Which fare would you recommend to the travellers for this itinerary and why?

Mr Singh & Mrs Singh are travelling home to Delhi with their 7-year-old son. They will depart Sydney on the 12 July 201X and stay for one month, on the way home they will like to go to Hong Kong Disneyland and stay for 5 nights.

Mr & Mrs Cook are travelling from Sydney to Brisbane to see family for 3 days, then Mr Smith has an important meeting at Canberra airport for 1 hour before heading to Melbourne to continue their holiday. They wish to travel to Brisbane on the 26 September 201X at approximately 12:00pm. They only travel Business class.

b) What are the taxes, surcharges and levies are payable. What is the baggage allowance and cost for excess baggage?

Your clients Mr and Mrs Rogers along with their 2 children Molly aged 4 &Wally aged 6 (They live 1 hour by car from Sydney airport) and would like to go on a family holiday departing Sydney on 19 July 201X for 7 nights within Australia.

Choose a suitable destination for the Rogers family. Note that the adults would like to be able to relax and also have some activities for children.

You will need to do the following:

a) Arrange return flights that would suit them and then choose the appropriate accommodation for the family.
