Question I. Locate a peer-reviewed journal article on national security intelligence that has been published within the past three years. Please note full text access to peer-reviews journals is provided through the Trefry Library.

Once you have located an appropriate article of interest to you, develop and initial posting that provides the following information:

Question 1. Provide the full reference citation (in Chicago Manual of Style format).

Question 2. Provide a summary of the article. Provide at least two fully developed paragraphs of at least three sentences each (similar to an annotation). Therefore, you will need to select an article with sufficient content and write concisely. Also, limit the use of direct quotes in this section.

Question 3. Assess whether the information is applicable to the field (ex. could practitioners in the U.S. Intelligence Community [IC] use the information or is it purely academic/theoretical?). Provide one fully developed paragraph of at least three sentences.

Question 4. Provide a reflection (can be written in first person perspective) on what you learned from the article and how it links to the content of the course. Provide one fully developed paragraph of at least three sentences.

Question II. Define Peak Performance. What are the psychological characteristics that determine successful or failed performance, and what can you do to enhance those that are supportive of performance?

Question III. Main topic for this week is corporate culture. Every organization adheres to certain cultural values. Sometimes they are obvious, sometimes not. Frankly, some values are good and some are not. Can you identify and comment on organizational values you have seen? How do you know the organization really believes in these values? Have any values changed? Can you be sure the entire organization has moved in the new direction?

Question IV. Marketers have many means of communicating with the public. With the rise of digital and mobile strategies, consumers can receive marketing solicitation around the clock.

Research communication strategies carefully, considering the pros and cons of each method. Consider how value is communicated in marketing.

1. Considering the industry you work in or aspire to work in, what type of communication strategies are predominant?
2. Considering the many available mediums, is TV advertising still the most powerful, or has it faded in importance?
3. For your final marketing plan- which mediums will you focus on and why?
