- Pick any journal article online regarding tuberculosis. Ideally, the article should explore the relationship between a given exposure and your chosen disease (e.g. caffeine consumption and insomnia). What are the likely sources of confounding in the reported association between the exposure and the outcome? Are they likely to over- or under-estimate the true risk associated with your chosen exposure?

- How could you rectify those biases-- in this or future studies?

- If you do not think that observational study has any bias due to confounding... think again. And then please let me know because a truly bias-free study is like a unicorn and we could become famous if we find one. (Kidding! Keep looking for those potential confounders. I promise they are there.)
