Choose one of the two featured groups we have learned about in the first weeks of the class (Blacks/African Americans or Latinos/Hispanics). Create a PowerPoint presentation that looks at gender roles and expectations of the group addressing the following points:
1. What group did you choose?
2. What are the commonly held gender roles and expectations for that group?
3. What are the differences and similarities between the groups gender roles and expectations and those of the dominant American culture?
4. What is a common prejudice that is held about the group's gender roles and expectations?
5. How do these prejudices manifest themselves in the healthcare workplace?
6. What are some strategies for addressing these gender prejudices? Give an example.
Presentation Requirements (APA format)
• Length: 8-10 slides (not including title, introduction, and references slides)
• Font should not be smaller than size 16-point
• Parenthetical in-text citations included and formatted in APA style
