Case: A quasi-experiment that we can do to see how peer pressure can affect academic performance for teenagers is to set up an online discussion forum between students who are working towards similar goals, such as achieving high grades. We would monitor their progress over time by comparing end-of-semester scores across both groups for differences in performance attributed to peer collaboration versus those who worked independently with no outside influences or help from classmates or friends within the same field of study. This will show that our hypothesis is correct that peer pressure will have a large effect on academic performance for teenagers.
