What are some stereotypes of therapy that either you hold personally or have heard or seen from others?

How would you describe the stereotypical therapist? In other words, what might be some stereotypical things a therapist would say or do during a therapy session? What gender, age, or appearance might they have?

Using the textbook, lecture, and the provided website (below) as references, if you were to ever consider going to therapy, which TWO of the therapeutic approaches would be your top choice(s) and why? Describe at least one technique and one goal of your two chosen types of therapy. Note: In your explanation, be sure to reference specifics of the approach that demonstrate your understanding of the topic in order to receive full credit.
