Before you start writing, it is important to remember that all paragraphs have three essential parts: The topic sentence introduces the topic of your paragraph and shows the point you want to make about that topic (this tells the reader what the rest of your paragraph will specifically be about). The body sentences work together to explain and support the point you want to make about that topic. You should have at least three sentences in the body. Include two or three detailed examples to support your point, including your in-text references. The concluding sentence sums up your argument and reinforces the point you stated in your topic sentence (this reminds the reader what you just told them).
