Course Research Paper. Follow the instructions below.
Course Research Paper: Writing
For your course research paper you will be locating and reviewing scholarly articles on a disability topic of your choice, and then summarizing what you have learned in a course research paper. Therefore, our focus this week will be on writing to effectively communicate what you have learned from your research to your reader (me.) This will include elements such as using complete sentences and correct grammar, creating an organized, logical flow to your information, and using appropriate writing tone and voice.
Complete the following activities:
A. Using the Metro State resources you learned about in previous modules, locate a third article related to your course paper topic (hopefully you have committed to your topic by now.)
B. Carefully read your article ensuring that you understand it, and determine if it lends itself well to this assignment. (If not, select a different article.)
C. Trying something new here: rather than simply summarizing your selected article, write a mini paper about the topic. Have the intention of teaching me about this topic. Of course, you will reference the article as your source of information.
D. Be sure to use the research and APA skills (citation, formatting, etc.) which you developed in the first few assignments. If you missed or did not yet master those steps, now is the time!
