2 minutes of water, twice a day, at 2.2 gallons per minute flowing from a bathroom faucet, I save 8.8 gallons of water a day just by not having the water flowing when I brush my teeth. Added up over a year, I personally prevent 3,212 gallons of water from just flowing down the drain for no reason.
What can you do? Maybe make a better effort of following the rules for recycling? Turn off your car while you're waiting to get your gas pumped (reducing idling?)
