I ask that you keep an open mind and deeply listen to what she has to say, as she represents the future of diversity management. Around minute 12:40, Meyers sums up diversity training by stating that, "You're not going to get comfortable before you get uncomfortable" (2014).

Examining and accepting our own personal biases is hard. It's not something that we can change overnight and it takes a lot a bravery. So I ask, how brave are you?

1.) Early on in the video, Meyers defines bias as, roughly, judging someone before you know them. What are your thoughts of that definition? Can you come up with a better one?

2.) What actions does Meyers recommend for overcoming bias in today's world? Which one of these can you start doing today and why?

3.) agree or disagree with Meyers' premise that the only way to resolve bias is to walk through it rather than to pretend like it doesn't exist? Why?
