I do not believe that there is a limit to the quality of care in which a health care organization can provide. I believe that although it can drive the cost of health care up, it is something that is always needing improvement and needs the resources to be allotted to it. In health care I do not believe that there is a way to reduce the quality of care provided just to drive down the cost of providing health care. It is important and an ever growing requirement to improve the quality of care the organization is providing. Whether it is a streamlined processes that the organization implements or a newly adopted technology to improve the quality of care the provide to their patients. Although all of this incurs additional costs for the organization, it is an important way to continuously improve and I do not believe that it is something that can be sacrificed. I believe that adopting practices to reduce waste and make organizations more efficient are all ways they can reduce the cost to provide health care.

I do not believe there a limit to the quality that can be or should be offered. My organization''s primary mission is to provide top quality, accessible, and affordable health care to the patient, in other words, we are a patient-centered organization. I believe if a patient is equipped with the best care and services possible if utilized in turn, can assist with lower health care costs. First of all, what is Value-based care? According to Hafner (2018), Value-based care is defined excellent quality health care which promotes and delivers positive clinical results but at a low and reasonable cost of the entire treatment or service from start to finish. Let''s take, for instance, a person that has chronic heart failure (CHF) who is going in for surgery. With value-based care, one does not focus just on the surgical procedure, but the focus needs to be on the pre-op, post-op, and management of CHF to prevent unnecessary readmissions and treatments.

With value-based care doctors and hospitals get paid based on the quality of patient procedures rather than the number of procedures. It is an active model that promotes fewer readmissions and less recurrent hospitalizations (Cleveland Clinic, 2019). The purpose of value-based care is to promote healthy lives and fewer medications by preventing illnesses before they begin. The issue with value-based care is that it is limiting to the quality of care that can be offered to patients because health care organizations must focus on the regulations that they must follow. Value-based care regulations take away the focus off the patients' need and require the focus on meeting the guidelines of the program (LaPointe, 2018). Regulations are required so that health care organizations will not take advantage of the program. Paying too close attention to the guidelines prevents providers from providing quality of care to patients because they are focused on preventing penalizations. The program should be a little more lenient so that doctors can also pay attention to the quality of care that they are providing to patients. Another problem that limits the quality of care is the time that providers waste on trying to get reimbursed by health insurances since insurances try to assure that patients do need the medical services.
