Two blocks are connected by a light string that passes over two frictionless pulleys (mass 1=m1 and mass 2=m2). The block of mass m2 is attached to a spring (with a constant k) and it is given that m1 is larger than m2. If the system is released from rest, what is an expression for the maximum displacement of m2 using only the variables presented in the question along with g (gravity)?
