The loading dock at the Walmart where you work has a bumper to protect it from mistakes by truck drivers. One icy day a truck with a total mass of 4500 kg is backing into the dock at 1.95 m/s when it loses all traction and slides into the bumper. If the bumper has a spring constant of 1.50 x 105 N/m, how much will it be compressed when the truck stops moving backwards? Give your answer in meters to three significant digits.
