Paul Potluck was traveling on Quick Quiet Quality Bus Line (3Q). He had checked in a suitcase before boarding the bus. It was in the baggage compartment of the bus when it was involved in an accident. 3Q was in no way at fault for the accident. They had signs in its station informing passengers that it was liable for only $50 per piece of checked baggage, unless the passenger declared extra value and paid an extra charge for additional protection. Paul did not declare extra value. The suitcase contained $200 worth of clothing which was ruined in the wreck. What was 3Q’s liability, if any?
