Question: How can some medications (anesthetics and sedatives....ex. novocain) effectively block the transmission of pain impulses? Consider if this also blocks muscle impulses. Name at least one chemical you may encounter on a daily (over the counter / legal ) basis which can also affect nerve and/or neuromuscular impulses. What are the effects of this chemical and why?
