Questions
1. Pick an athlete and describe their characteristics, unique situation and goals (Endurance, Power/Strength, Growth and Size, Weight/Fat loss, etc) - again it may be a hypothetical situation or an actual athlete case
2. Select a specific part of the training/competition cycle the athlete would be in and plan out a 24-hr period timeline listing activities and training/competition the athlete would be doing. Identify periods of energy production, anabolic, growth, recovery, etc.
3. For the chosen 24-hr period of time you select, please list the nutrients that are of particular interest to the athlete and when they would need to be delivered to be of most use to the athlete. (It may be beneficial to also identify when hormones like insulin, epinephrine, cortisol and glucagon would be expected to be high over the 24-hr period).
4. List food options that could be used to at least partially supply the nutrients you mentioned in part 3.
