Assessment Task 1: Review and Draft a Diversity Policy
Task:
Assume that your team is one of the project teams set up by the management. Your team has been asked to first review a sample Diversity Policy from within the travel and tourism industry and then draft a Diversity Policy for your own team. You may follow policy structure and design from sample policies with appropriate referencing.
Ensure that you team conducts a skills audit (assessment of available skills within the team and individual expert/core areas). Accordingly, roles and responsibilities must be delegated to the team members. The teamwork scope will expand in the subsequent assessment tasks in this unit. Team must interact within the roleplay with members demonstrating a positive and professional approach in all interactions.

You will be provided with a sample policy. Review the policy as a group and combine your understanding and research of other similar policies to draft a simple (maximum 2 pages, A4, single-sided, single-spaced) policy that can be implemented in your own group.
The policy should be drafted in own words and developed in an appropriate format (formal language, style, and structure), reflecting an enhancement of diversity principles more relevant to the travel and tourism industry.
You team will need to develop a portfolio and keep records of all the meetings, interactions and discussions. Team documentation must clearly show evidences of completion of the task requirements.
