Everyone makes all three sex hormones (testosterone, estrogen, progesterone) regardless of the type of reproductive system they have. These hormones are released from other places besides the ovaries and testes. In other words, the sex hormones are also made in one other location in the body.

Think about the chemical nature of these hormones and how they are synthesized (are they lipophobic or lipophilic). Then pick one logical location where they are also produced. Hint: where else are hormones of a similar chemical nature produced?
