Briefly discuss the stages of Kholberg's Theory of Moral development. It has been said that American society pre-1980 was largely operating in the Conventional Level 2 but aspiring toward Postconventional Morality Level 3.  Some theorists label the 1980's as the "Decade of Greed" and the beginning of "Me being more important than We."  They argue that American society is now stuck in Pre-conventional morality, Level 1.
