The density of the fluid is approximately 1 g/mL (?). The reactor is used to culture cells in a media that can be considered to be Newtonian. As the cells grow, the viscosity of the media increases. Utilize the mixing figures presented in lecture notes for inputs. Be careful with the unit conversion. a. Compare the power requirements (P) when the viscosity (?) is: i. Approximately that of water (10^-2 Pa s) ii. 100 times that of water iii. 1000 times that of water. First identify Rei to determine whether this is laminar or turbulent regime.
