A 2-wire DC distributor PQ is 500m long. It is supplied by three feeders entering P, Q and R where R is midway between P and Q. the resistance of the distributor, go and return, is 0.5W/km. The distributor is loaded as follows: points A and B are load currents of 30A and 40A, respectively with distances of 100m and 300m, respectively from P. In addition, a distributed load of 0.5A/m exists frpm P tp Q. calculate (a) the current supplied by each feeder if P and R are maintained at 220V while Q is at 215V, (b) the voltage at a point between P and Q and 50m from P.
