The pressure in an isochoric automobile tire increases from 28.0 psia at 70.0°F to 35.0 psia on a trip during hot weather. Assume the air behaves as an ideal gas.

(a) What is the air temperature inside the tire at the end of the trip?

(b) How much heat is absorbed per unit mass of air in the tire during the trip?

Helpful Hint:

Use the ideal gas equation to determine T2 since the process is isochoric (1W2 = 0 also). Solve for 1Q2/m using the modified EB expression (KE and PE terms drop out).
