• The history of who "discovered" the disease, when, how, etc. (background information)

• The 1) cause (can a person inherit the disease, be given the disease by another, or because of health choices acquire the disease), 2) onset (when the disease can "show" itself), and 3) symptoms (physically what is occurring) of the disease.

• Characterize the disease in terms of statistics (how many people have this in the U.S. and/or world, predicted will have it, longevity after diagnosis etc).

• Describe any current clinical trials and/or research being conducted.

• Solution (cure, drugs, research being done, etc.) Any interesting social or cultural details?

Review the grading rubric posted that details this assignment. (Required to have an Intro/agenda slide, Conclusion/Summary slide and Reference slide).

Prepare a Microsoft Powerpoint presentation with a minimum of 9 slides regarding the disease topic of choice. The presentation lasted a minimum of 8 minutes

Timing: The presentation needs to last a minimum of 8 minutes for full credit. Please remember to have an introduction slide that has an agenda and a conclusion slide that has a few summary points.
