A worker pushes a 20 kg crate straight across a 1 m long section of horizontal floor with a constant horizontal force of 29 N. This section floor had the peculiarity that it becomes rougher from beginning to end, and the crate is moving at 1.2 m/s when it arrives at the start of this section. The coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.15 at the start of the section and 0.25 at the finish, varying linearly with distance in between.

a. Draw a complete free-body diagram of the crate.

b. What is the net work done on the crate?

c. What is the speed of the crate at the end of the section?
