Which of the following are testable hypothesis?

1. A full moon increases immoral behavior.

2. Ants choose seeds based on nutritional content.

5. Drinking an energy drink caused the death of a 21 year old man.

Develop a Hypothesis

Now read the following and state what the observations and questions are and then develop a testable hypothesis.

During a trip to Africa a young scientist notices that there are ponds that are filled with guppies. In some of the ponds the guppies are large and colorful and in other ponds the guppies are small and gray. The young scientist noted that in the ponds with the small gray guppies there were predatory fish and in the ponds with the colorful fish there were no predatory fish. It was then explained to the scientists that there are occasional floods that allow the movement of the predatory fish to other ponds and that the colorful guppies seem to disappear. That is when our young scientist begins to wander if the predatory fish influence the population of guppies by praying on the fish with bright colors.
