Case: The "Growth Mindset" provided insight into how people with a fixed mindset tend to run away from challenges and get discouraged if they can't complete a task. A growth mindset, on the other hand, tends to see challenges as opportunities.
The Ted Talk "The Power of Believing that You Can Improve" helped me learn about how a fixed mindset affects kids. I learned that when an individual fails a test, they will most likely cheat on the next test and most likely run away from tough challenges. However, if children were taught to embrace their failures, It could help them be open to improvements and correct their mistakes.
The Ted talk "From stress to resilience" helped me learn that trying to suppress stress will result in more stress. In order to reduce stress, people have to embrace stress in order to promote resilience. It may be uncomfortable, but it will help an individual do greater things.
The Ted Talk "The Power of Believing that You Can Improve" provided more insight on how a fixed mindset negatively affects an individual. One thing that I will try is the "power of yet." It helps me be more optimistic about my failures and helps me tackle difficult challenges.
In addition, the video "From stress to resilience" helps me learn to be more patient in having a growth mindset and be more resilient. There are times when I am hard on myself about things I failed on and ended up giving up on difficult situations.
